Hi, I’m Michelle, The Grape Lady
I am a sommelier and highly certified wine nerd. I’m passionate about helping people find the perfect wine for every occasion and budget. But I also want to connect you with family owned wineries who make delicious wines, but never end up on retailer shelves due to their small production.
How did I get here?
I fell in love with wines and the hospitality industry while attending the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. One wine class and I was hooked. After graduation, I returned to Dallas where I managed beverage programs for a hotel, several restaurants, and a country club. However, I always found time to teach wine classes on the side or curate the perfect wine package for a friend or acquaintance. During the pandemic, I gathered the courage to obtain a license to sell wine, and everything changed. In 2023, after over a decade of managing beverage programs across the DFW metroplex, I transitioned to running The Grape Lady full time.
How Certified?
Michelle Rossotti holds a Certified Sommelier Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine and Spirits Certification with the Society of Wine Educators, and a Certified Spanish Wine Scholar from the Wine Scholar Guild. Currently, she is pursuing a Diploma in Wine & Spirits with the Wine & Spirits Educational Trust. She has one exam left.
