Description

Do you love Sea Smoke but didn’t get enough wines from your allocation this year? Drink these six wines form Santa Barbara County.  Sip Similar to Sea Smoke Pinot.

Foxen Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley For about half the price, the Foxen entry-level Pinot is a great ‘drink a like.’ The single vineyards are more similar to Ten in weight but the flavor profile is still present in this wine. Founded in 1985 this winery is able to pull the best out of their vineyards.
The Hilt, Vanguard Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills From the Jonata winery, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are bottled as ‘The Hilt.’ Matt Dees, the winemaker has been working the same vineyards for twenty years and is one of my absolute favorite winemakers on this planet.
Roar, Gary’s Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands Gary and Rosella Franscioni farm grapes on the family estate but only the best sites are reserved for the family’s winery- Roar. Gary’s Vineyard produces intense, dark wines.
Samsara Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills Winemaker Matt Brady produces and releases micro-lots of Pinot Noir, Syrah, Grenache and Chardonnay from across Sta Rita Hills. Listed as one of the top 100 wineries by Wine & Spirits Magazine in 2022
Wrath Pinot Noir, Saba Vineyard, Monterey Wrath estate is located just under the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, 25 miles southeast of the town of Monterey. The San Saba vineyar is a slightly lower altitude giving these wines a slightly spicy character. Only 406 cases are produced.
Alma Rosa Pinot Noir La Encantada Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills Richard Sanford makes Alma Rosa, contributing over forty years of expierence in the Santa Ynez Valley. He has been refered to as the grandfather of Santa Barbara winemaking.
